Rexix, Your reading comprehension is down tonight. Read the parentheses.

Anyway, they did it! The reported songs were Paris Hilton Look-Alike, Girl From Omaha, and Pulsar.

How sweet is that!

Looking back over the thread... just a quick aside.

Speaking of the PG / George Lynch / Richie Kotzen tour... was any sort of announcement made as to when additional dates will be announced? Is it still on?

Nothing was said about that as far as I can remember.

A question about the crowd: was the room at capacity? "sold out"?

It was a free show, so it would hopefully be "oversold"

Not at all.. the VIP members were just walking around.. drinking beers.. and enjoying their space, not really into the music.

And I got up to the front SOOO easily.

I asked Freddy, Jeff, and Mike about the upcoming HOB shows. Freddy said he has a couple solo shows here and there but he will be at the House Of Blues shows. Jeff and Mike said they'll be there too.

and Jenn, I'm sorry but you wouldn't have met Paul or Emi.. me and gatxman were the only two people who ran into the parking lot after him. I was just a little bit behind him and no luck.. they just kept walking.

LOL... I definitely would not have run after them!

But then again I would have set something up for one of the 2 days prior or maybe for today -- as the only way I would have gone to NAMM at all was with the pass. With NAMM, the shows are just part of the whole event.

It's a bummer you guys didn't get to meet Paul & Emi but really, look what you got to do. Look who you got to see. It's amazing.

Very interesting about the lineup for the CA/HOB shows (GG thing). Not what I expected at all, and VERY cool, but also indicates "under 2 weeks" of tour-time, based on what others have said about Mike's day job with Blue Man Group and his very limited ability to get more then 2 weeks off per year, and the fact that the Japanese tour will take up a week of that. I might hafta get some plane tickets here soon... unless of course Mike quit Blue Man Group in which case all bets are off!

Yeah Mike didn't mention anything about the Blue Man Group, I just asked what was ahead for Paul and him and he said well we're flying out to Japan, and I asked what about the HOB shows? And he said Oh yeah! I'll be there. It's funny because those were the same words of Jeff and Freddy.

If Mike tours with them, that will be DA SHIZ... It would be very, very cool. I have heard so many awesome things about Mike, and watched so many great videos. Classy player, versatile too (*petitions for guitar/bass swaps* :). He seems to have a voice which would harmonize really well with Freddie's voice, too.

& LOL about all of them saying the exact same thing. All on the same wavelength I gather. :)

Agreed! I swear everytime I see him he points out to me in the crowd.. but maybe he's always pointing to someone else. :P He's a great guitarist, and in turn a great bassist. The thing about Freddy and Mike is I'd say they're not so much 'classy' but more 'real' like they're the same person on stage as they are when you just meet them. Mike is out on stage before the set checking to see if stuff is working, I swear the average person would probably say "why's that roadie playing with Paul??" hah. But yeah they both just like the music and like playing. Freddy definitely takes on the rock star persona better though. Hehe.

Yes it did!! I was hoping they'd play Waste Of Time.. but Pulsar was freakin' epic. Only thing was they didn't do the vocal harmonies before Paris Hilton Look Alike. Freddy really rocks out on stage.

Was Freddie playing guitar at all or just singing?

Anectdote about Mike: As much as Craig was well-accepted & well-loved on the Euro tour, Mike has his own cult.

You bet he was playing! Him and Paul had some awesome trade off solo bits, and he had a whole solo of his own. I was really impressed by his playing! He's great and didn't have a problem keeping up with Paul.

And just for you flying Dino.. here's the tequila story..

WELLLL,

Jeff had a bottle of tequila (as well as a bottle of water) he was taking sips from throughout the show. Near the end of the set Paul took some time again to thank Ibanez and such, all the while Jeff was sharing the bottle with the select Ibanez Executives/VVVIPs that were watching at tables from the side of the stage. I was laughing! But yeah so after he went to John and was trying to get him to drink some but John didn't want to, it took Jeff grabbing him and holding the bottle to his lips for him to take a sip! Hahah. Then he looked at Paul.. and he said Paul has NEVER drank tequila before.. so he went to Paul and offered him the bottle. Paul got it and I think he said like "what is this?" so he took a small wiff, then took a sip, and made a ! face. Haha.

It was funny
