Post PG at the London guitar show
did anyone see him!?

I almost cried with happiness when he played technical difficulties!!

Annoyingly he wasnt signing today, but I met Satch, another of my heroes!

Sounds great! Any idea of the setlist?

I missed the show because today I had my Grade VI Music Theory exam! Ah well, I'll catch him in November...

Which show are you going to in November?

Setlist was as far as I know:

Norwegian Cowbell - Cut short when drums kicked in as CD skipped
Down to Mexico - Unaccompanied
Norwegian Cowbell - Cut short when drums kicked in as CD skipped...
Red House (Hendrix Cover) - Unaccompanied
Norwegian Cowbell (!!!)
Scarified
Eudaimonia Overture
I Cannot Tell A Lie
The Gargoyle
Bultaco Saturno
Technical Difficulties

Very very fun, Paul was so into it and made Billy Sheehan and Guthrie Govan (who played together beforehand) look like they stood like lemons!

Was wondering around and who should I spot but Billy Sheehan :)

Managed to get his autograph and popped a question about a Mr. Big reunion. "You will have to ask Paul...." he replied, sounding rather unamused!

To top the day off, I managed to play a PGM301 through a Laney GH100L! It was unholy!

A great day :)

Didn't you love the "Gunna play one more song and its very difficult, it has a few TECHNICAL DIFFCIULTIES"

Awesome

Eudaimonia Overture is my favorate album from Scilence, really really is the best build up... but Norwegian Cowbell is very close behind.

I didn't Catch Billy Sheehan live which is a shame, i was hanging around the Peavey stand cos im a loser :P

I had a quick tinkle on the PGM that was there, i didnt think Ibanez were going to be there!

I just got back from it. 2 hour drive and my ears are still ringing from Paul, followed by the awesome Chad Smith, and I caught the last 5 minutes of Yngwie.

Paul was awesome and he didnt really seem phased by his cd player screwing up. Id have been pissed after the 2nd attempt.

He seemed to be enjoying himself too, and was so relaxed I caught a couple of mistakes, something Ive never heard him do before.

He used the white PGM with the H/S/S for the entire set.

Unfortunately I didnt get to the show until 1:30 and the Marshall stand had a poster up saying Paul was demoing and signing at 12:30 :( :( :(
I also missed Chads signing too.

Satch was doing his signing when I came out of Chads performance, but the queue was pretty long, Id already got his autograph on the G3 tour 10 years ago and Yngwie was playing, so I decided not to bother.

I met Billy Sheehan by accident on the Rotosound stand, Im not sure more than a couple of people recognised him. To be honest, if I hadnt seen him playing before Paul I dont think I would have recognised him either. He had a baseball cap and tied up hair, with a grungy plaid shirt on. He looked like one of those 60 year old dudes you see at concerts wearing a meatloaf t-shirt shouting "Rock and rooooollllllll"

Really nice guy though, had a bit of a chat about PG and got an autograph.

All in all it was a bloody good day.

Just a pity the entire drum section was full of 8 yr olds beating shit out of anything that didnt move.

London show most likely, but I'm hoping maybe more dates will be announced soon, closer to home...Anyone know of this possibility?

I'd of loved to of seen Guthrie too - I have a hard time believing he looked like a lemon though!

Noo! You gotta ask Paul for a RX reunion. Don't confuse him.

Sounds awesome dudes. Guthrie Govan and Paul back to back! What the fuck. It's like seeing buddha and jesus back in the day.

Awesome show, so glad he played Down To Mexico! Tried to get an audio of the show, but it's horribly distorted so I'm a bit annoyed with that.

Guthrie Govern and Billy Sheehan were awesome too! I too, tried out the PGM301 at the Ibanez stand. I was quite upset at the price tag, but ah well :P

In all, a very good day!

Also got my backplate signed by Satch!

I saw them both play too, both very good indeed. Paul's backing kept skipping at the beginning though, felt sorry for him but he just played by himself until they fixed it :D
